Frontiers of Liberation

Sunday 26th September1:30pm3pm
Brighthelm Centre - Hannover Room

50 years on from the Festival of Light action by the Gay Liberation Front, this session will bring queer and trans organisers and writers together to talk about historical and current frontiers and tactics of liberation. With attacks on queer and trans people on the rise and the demonising rhetoric of previous decades back in full force in Parliament and the press, we’ll compare the enemies and struggles of today with those of the recent past. What were the strengths and limitations of the radical LGBTQ+ movements of the past 50 years? And what are the lessons for our liberation struggles today?

This event will be recorded. Subscribe to the TWT Youtube to make sure not to miss it once it's up!
