What is Generation Left?

Countless polls and studies have reinforced the notion that young people hold overwhelmingly progressive views. This "Generation Left" could play a decisive role in shaping the future of politics, but it is not a given that the views of this generation are immovable under the structures of society. So what are the politics needed to hegemonise Generation Left and prevent its potential rightward shift? And how can this be squared with a politics that also appeals to older generations?
