If you are not sure how to tackle a large issue or want to reconnect with your colleagues, comrades or community - a listening campaign is the perfect place to start. While politicians often talk of listening to the masses, this session will explore what it really means to listen effectively and how this can form the basis of an organising project. This session will showcase some of the most effective examples of listening currently taking place within the movement and give you creative ideas of how to run these projects.The Centre for Progressive Change (CPC) will deliver this session sharing their experience of the Cleaners United campaign – a broad alliance of unions and community groups campaigning nationwide to improve cleaners’ working conditions – which they kicked off with a mass listening campaign.
