Young people today will face the effects catastrophic climate change and are among our last hope of stopping it. Yet our education system is failing to prepare them for this reality.
This event focuses on a key demand of the youth climate strike movement: for young people to be taught about the climate crisis with the emphasis that the scale of the problem deserves. What would it mean to put the climate at the heart of our education system? How can this be achieved? What impact could this have on society? And how might it link to decolonising the curriculum?
