Reimagining the University: Strategies for the Student Movement

Saturday 25th September1pm2:30pm
Brighthelm Centre - Auditorium

Over the past year, COVID has shone a spotlight on the rotten core of our education system, making it painfully clear to students everywhere that - in a marketised university system - fees and rent matter more than education and welfare. Thousands of students mobilised in response, launching strikes, protests and occupations. Join student left coalition RSM and voices from across HE for this participatory workshop to develop a coherent plan that locates the student movement within wider struggles.

Particpants/Speakers:
General Secretary of the University and Colleges Union (UCU) and senior lecturer in employment relations

Ben is an architectural worker and co-researcher helping to prepare the Wards Corner Community Plan.
